Check Your Bike
Keeping your bicycle in good working order is key to keeping you safe on the road. These simple checks only take a few minutes and could prevent an accident.
Tyres: make sure your tyres are properly inflated. Under-inflation will affect your steering and control.
Brakes: if your brakes need any more than moderate pressure to stop your bike, they may need adjusting or replacing.
Chain: check the tension in the chain. If the links are rusted it should be replaced.
Wheels: sure that the wheels and spokes are not bent or buckled.
Seat: ensure that the seat is at a comfortable height and that it is secure.
